i dont want to be bias but ps3 hasnt really said much about there console and seeing as though we all agree they lied about the release (unless you still think it will be coming out last year) im not that sure we can ever trust any info about the ps3.

Perhaps we're being to harsh on Sony, but all they've been making for game consoles is an updated version of their old one. Take Nintendo... there's been the N64, then something new: the Gamecube and something new again to be released: the Wii but Sony's just made the PS1, PS2 and soon the PS3. What's going to come after that? The PS4?

You all obviously have no idea about what the new Ps3 is all about its not just a games console anymore its practically a top of the range computer that also plays amazingly well presented games that though may not be the most innovative but are fantastic to look at. Now I am in no way saying that graphics beat game play and the fact 8 games at £50 each will mean you will be buying the equivalent price of the console all over again is ridiculously steep for both the console and the games but that does not mean its just a ps2.5 disguised as a brand new console it is in fact a huge leap in console technology compared to the barely counting as a step up more of an update that was the Xbox 360 so just understand it is exactly what we could expect from Sony a console aimed at the 20 plus range where the players only play games that don’t really have to be innovated but can now look almost life like which I am not saying is a good thing but its true these days good graphics sell games to the mass market and you cant really blame Sony for making something that all the casual gamers will love.

we souldnt be so harsh on the ps1.3 i mean obviously its rubbish and its no suprise that yet again sony have released a console that is exactly the same in every way other than size and in the hope that people will say 'hey that looks good ill buy one!' and we all new from the begining that sony dont give a damn if people are going to be playing their games for more than a few minutes just as long as the buy them , and anyway who do you no that would rather play a game that replicates what the already do in thier daily lives, that is not what gaming is about playing video games is about escaping reality to do something you cannot do in your daily life , its about reaching the highest achivement in games not because your a lazy fatty that cant be bothered to get up and do something but because you have already done something with your life and now want to achive the impossible in the virtual world that is gaming, and wtf do we want to be able to store a zillion gigs of information on one cd what the hell is the point , as consumers why must we always assume that more gaphics more storage and faster processing is better i know i say this alot but why would need a number of polygons that the human eye cannot even register.

with regards to your final point, not amny games at the moment fill up a dvd, and even then more than one disk can be used. I think it would be better if you got a disk, that alloed you to download the game, thus not requiring high density disks

I totally agree with Innovate Or Die's point, gaming is about escaping reality, which is much more entertaining. Besides, I think that if Sony is turning the PS3 into a computer then I think it's getting a bit thingyy. Keep it simple and consumers will be interested. Take an everyday example, if a friend of mine sends me a link and it doesn't work, there goes my attention span. And I go back to what I was doing. There's alot more things that can go wrong adding the internet to a games console unless it's done right. Besides if I want the internet, I'll just get it on a computer, there's alot more things that can be done on a computer that has been perfected. And if Sony wants to make something the casual gamers will enjoy, that's up to them...
I want something the innovative experienced gamers will enjoy.
By the way, why does this site not allow the word rocky (except with a letter c in the place of an r) and instead leave the word thingyy in it's place? It's not a swear word or rude word but an expression. Much like moody or happy.
