The sniper is good for long distances but there's certain qualities that it lacks. The battle rifle and magnum hand pistols can fire alot quicker than a sniper rifle. Plus the sniper can only shoot four rounds before you have to reload again. And if your enemy is comming closer to you, almost in close combat range, only professionals or lucky one shot people can take out the enemy with a sniper rifle. A battle rifle or a magnum which ever you prefer is better for beginners. Also on the level I was playing there wasn't a sniper rifle, and if there was I'd save it for tougher enemies.

yes i agree you should stick to the battle rifle or magnum if you are a begginer as the sniper is not very useful at close range and im sure you would find it difficult against a magnum

Yeah, Halo 3's gonna be great. With the health and overshield, and flamethrower and combat knife. It's going to be so good.

The flood were very scary when I first played Halo, they just suddenly came out of nowhere. I thought that the only enemies were going to be the Covernant.

Probably, they've been in both of the past games, so they're probably going to be in the next game aswell. Besides the rings were made to destroy the flood, so no more flood after Halo 2 would be losing the innitial storyline if you like. Even though the Masterchief has to stop the Covernant from activating all of the rings in Halo 3.

I want to see what Halo 3's gonna be like, there's tons of hype for it, i'll beg a mate to buy it then i'll go round his house loads and play it. Simple.
Yay for Flamethrowers.
